The pencils for DRONES #4 are now finished! Here’s a preview of Bruno’s beautifully insidious cover. Or is it insidiously beautiful? I don’t know. “Wha? Don’t leave me hanging!”

I won’t, mystery fan! Drones #3 just needs a few days to warm up and stretch its muscles. We’ll be back this weekend with new pages, and the plan is to update twice a week for this issue. Sorry for the changes, but issue four needs a bit more work. We don’t want to rush through issue three just to completely shut down this ABSOLUTELY FREE COMIC if #4 isn’t finished in time.

Watch out for drones overhead, and come back this weekend for issue three. Here’s a sneak preview of something we’re really proud of:

Ok. It was late, I was tired, and I just wanted to spread the word that Drones #3 was finally finished and available for digital download. So what did I do? I posted a shabby little screen shot and a link. I know, I know. After all the hours spent to get to this point. After more than a year of rewrites, redraws, retries, replies. After blood has literally been spilled on these pages…

When Drones #3 deserves a party.

I mean, seriously, have you seen a better cover this month? Between Bruno’s deceptively spoiler-ish artwork and E.T. Dollman’s color choice for the logo, I think it’s our best design yet. Well, at least the best cover we’ve made public. The cover to issue four makes this thing look like sloppy joe.

What else is there to celebrate?

Quick update: I’m off to Thought Bubble this weekend to introduce some new people to DRONES! No table, but I’ll be wandering like a maniac. I also just received this amazing pinup in the mail from Silvio DB, with colors by our very own Cabral. Just something to get you in the mood for issue three. E.T. Dollman is hard at work on the lettering, and we should be good for a digital release in the next two weeks. In other news, Bruno just got back after a whirlwind tour of the New York Comic Con and his old San Fran haunts. Whatever geek flu he got at the convention is gone and he’s working on the layouts to issue four as we speak. Can’t wait to see the new tricks he’s learned.

Drones #1 is now available at Orbital Comics in London! Can you believe that those five brave copies flew all the way from Germany all on their own? My little babies…all grown up. I miss them already and hope they find nice, loving homes as soon as possible. You know what would help me deal with this situation? If I had pictures of them with their new owners.
